Protein Calculator

About This Calculator

This Protein Quality Calculator helps you quickly analyze the nutritional profile of your recipes with a focus on protein content and quality.

How it Works

Just paste your ingredients list in the “Paste Ingredients” section and click “Calculate”.

– Recognizes common food names and their variations.
– Converts different units (cups, tablespoons, pieces, etc.) to accurate gram measurements.
– Calculates total nutrition based on ingredient-specific conversion rates.
– Assigns a quality score (0-10) based on protein content, calorie efficiency, and macronutrient balance.

For Best Results

– Use specific ingredient names (e.g., “cottage cheese” instead of just “cheese”)
– Include units (cups, grams, tablespoons, etc.)
– For packaged foods with nutrition labels, the Manual Entry option may be more accurate
– Cross-reference with product labels when precision is important.

The calculator uses standard measurements (e.g., 1 large egg = 50g, 1 cup rolled oats = 81g)
Some ingredients may have slight variations from your specific products.

Data Source

All nutritional values are sourced from the USDA FoodData Central database, the official nutritional database maintained by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This is the same trusted source used by nutrition professionals and food manufacturers.
